Austin is one heck of a town, and while we were visiting, we wanted to spend a few days in downtown to get to experience all the sights and sounds of the live music capital of the world. As part of my birthday celebration, we wanted to scope out some of the live music, the awesome food truck scene and shop. Of course, I also wanted to pencil in some time at the gym, and plenty of downtime for relaxing and enjoying the hotel.
In the room, a gorgeous spread of goodies awaited us, a great way to kick off a birthday and make it special! Honestly, I’m not sure what was better, the snack tray or the dessert tray- there was an amazing chocolate mousse that I knew would necessitate a trip to the Omni gym a bit later, but it was worth it!
The view was one of my favorite parts of the hotel- we could see the capital and the sunsets were absolutely stunning. You could overlook the lobby area, and across the way was an office building enclosed off the lobby. It was beautiful!
The amenities of this hotel were fabulous- the gym was well stocked with headphones, towels and water. The lobby included gorgeous fresh flowers and complimentary infused water and a sampling of fresh fruits to take with you. Whether you wanted to lounge, workout or go out on a hot summer afternoon, you were well taken care of!
The beds were super comfy and the robes were by far my favorites. There are three things that make a hotel lux- the robes, the coffee and the toiletries. I am happy to say the microplush robes were super soft and the coffee? Nespresso! Since they also gave us complimentary morning beverage deliveries, I didn’t even find it until our second to last day… but Nespresso is a thing I must have. The Omni Hotel Downtown Austin has now given me two things I need to have in my life- their robes and my own Nespresso machine.
The Omni is really close to 6th Street, Congress Avenue and a few blocks from the stunning capital…oh, and the famous Stubb’s Barbeque, which unfortunately, we didn’t get to savor- but I guess we will have to go back!
If you’re going to Austin, I highly recommend the Omni Hotel Downtown Austin for a prime location, great amenities (we didn’t even get to make it up to the pool, but honestly it looked gorgeous) and supreme comfort.
Thank you to the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown for hosting us. Opinions and love of chocolate Nespresso are solely my own.
